It is November-ish and it is 3 AM and I'm writing the next "Signals" script and you email me and ask "What's wrong with your haunted house phone?" I email back, "Nothing." You email back, "I am calling you right now. It is ringing. Please, answer." I email back, "My phone isn't ringing." You email back, "Your haunted house phone isn't working." I email back, "I just checked and there is a dial tone. Try again." You email back, "It is ringing and ringing and ringing. No answer." I email back, "What number are you calling?" You email back, "207-685-####. Same number I used last Friday." I email back, "That's my number. That's weird." You email back, "Call me." I call you and it rings and rings and rings. I email you, sorta freaked out, but sorta thinking you're just not picking up - "It is ringing right now. Pick up." You email back, "It isn't ringing." I email back, "Don't lie. It is late and I'm sitting in a haunted house." You email back, "Really my phone is not ringing. WTF? You should let it keep ringing and see if someone or something answers." I email back, "What the f###?!!!!! I AM FREAKING OUT! I have to hang up before I faint or something." You FINALLY pick up your phone and laugh and laugh and laugh. I almost hang up on you :) - but I catch my breath and we laugh for like 10 minutes. xo
