The first time... - w4m

I got to spend time with you at Storyworld. I remember a particular moment when there was a speaker on stage. The speaker made a reference to me and people were turning around and smiling. There were happy for me, happy that I was getting a hat tip. But you caught my eye, Brian, and you gave me a knowing glance. I knew then that you could see what I could see. The comment was actually a put-down disguised as a compliment. I knew it, but this was the first time someone else I knew could see it. I never mention those things I see and Brian didn't need it. He saw it and lifted his eyebrows. We spoke afterwards, and in a van latter talked non-stop about the layers of communication being put forward. Brian, you're the first person I met in the 'transmedia' world that made me feel we actually share a reality. I didn't have a keep up their illusion with you. I know you're busy with your new venture now, but I look forward to the times we'll bump into each other on those star-lined streets and high-five each other. You did the story world well.
